Police Affairs Minister condemns killing of northern travelers in Edo

The Minister of Police Affairs, His Excellency Senator (Dr) Ibrahim Gaidam CON, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of northern travelers in Edo State, describing it as an unacceptable act of violence that must not be tolerated.
He assured the victims’ families and the affected communities that justice will be served.
In response to the incident, the Minister has directed security agencies to conduct a thorough and urgent investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. He emphasized that those responsible must face the full wrath of the law to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Minister called on Nigerians to remain calm and avoid reprisal attacks. He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence and unity among all ethnic and religious groups in the country.
Reaffirming the Tinubu-led government’s dedication to protecting lives and property, the Minister assured the public that security measures will be strengthened to prevent such incidents.
He also called for enhanced collaboration between security agencies and local communities to improve intelligence gathering and prevent further attacks.
