Police nab mortuary attendant, others for selling human parts to ritualists

The Osun State Police Command has apprehended seven individuals for allegedly possessing human body parts for ritual purposes.
This was disclosed by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Giwa-Alade Emmanuel.
The suspects were identified as Johnson Daniel, Adetunji Okunade, Olaniyan Azeez, Balogun Temitope Asimiyu, Oladapo Hammed, Kazeem Rasak, and Asaka Rauf.
They were paraded at the Command headquarters in Osogbo.
Police revealed that Johnson Daniel, a mortuary attendant, sold human remains to native doctors for ritual purposes.

Daniel confessed to conspiring with Adetunji Okunade to sell water used in bathing corpses to interested native doctors.
Further investigations revealed that the suspects’ residences yielded human bone fragments, a female pant, and notebooks containing ritual instructions.
Additionally, police paraded Taiwo Adekunle, Adebayo Opeyemi, Hasan Ibrahim, Oba Wasiu, and Olajide Oladapo for alleged armed robbery.
Recovered exhibits include one Ford Jeep, Hunter motorcycle, empty shell cartridge, iPhone, and magnet.
The statement added that the command has charged the suspects to court, demonstrating its commitment to combating ritual-related crimes and armed robbery.
