Police rescue retired AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s wife

The Nigeria Police Force has successfully rescued Folashade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, who was abducted last Thursday.

Her freedom was secured on Wednesday during an operation led by the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo. Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the rescue to Channels Television on Thursday, revealing that the kidnappers were neutralized in the operation.

According to Adejobi, the operatives also recovered the ransom paid as bait, though the exact amount and details of the rescue location were not disclosed.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the CP and the operatives for their efforts, reiterating the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of Nigerians.

Folashade Odumosu was abducted at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The kidnappers reportedly dragged her out of her Lexus SUV and took her through a swampy area to an unknown destination.

This successful rescue operation underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s resolve to combat crime and safeguard citizens nationwide.
