Policeman, soldier fight dirty on Lagos street

Army personnel and a policeman have engaged in a physical exchange of blows in Apongbon, Lagos Island.

Though the cause of the fight is not certain, road users said the two uniformed men had a misunderstanding regarding traffic law.

Reacting to the incident, the 81 Division, Nigerian Army in a statement issued and signed by Lt.-Col. Olaniyi Osoba said the Army division has commenced an investigation into the incident.

Osoba said the Division was looking into the matter to fully ascertain what transpired between both parties.

He added that necessary sanctions will be taken after the investigation.
