Preparatory to tomorrow’s APC gubernatorial primary election in Anambra state, the Chairman of the electoral committee, Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno State attended a crucial security meeting at the headquarters of Anambra state Police Command in Awka and thereafter inspected Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square which is the venue for accreditation of delegates which will serve as the venue for the voting exercise on Saturday.
Shettima assured contestants of a level playing ground and a transparent process.
“Internal democracy is the hallmark of the All Progressives Congress Party. I want to assure you that we came with the cleanest of hearts and we are unequivocally and irrevocably committed to conducting a transparent, free and fair contest tomorrow.
This is a family affair and whoever out of twelve contestants emerges as the winner tomorrow, it is the APC that is going to win. We have to work collectively as a family and as a team torwards winning contest in the gubernatorial election.
There is no anointed candidate and if any candidate says he is the anointed candidate from Abuja, that person is economical with the truth”, said Gov. Shettima.
