Rachel Bakam, Kaduna-born actress, TV presenter dies at 38

Popular Kaduna-born actress, writer, TV presenter, and producer, Rachel Bakam, also known as Rachel the PIPER have passed on at the age of 38.

The mother of one who died at a private hospital in Abuja at midday on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from anaemia, was the CEO and Managing Director of Rayzeds Media Ltd, Founder & President of the Nigerian Water Ski And Wakeboard Federation (NWWF).

Rachel the PIPER received an award for her Outstanding Service to Humanity alongside the CEO of Neptune Prime, Dr Hassan Gimba, whose award was for Excellence in Journalism and Leadership at the Charitable Personality Award on December 12, 2020, at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja.

Rachel who was born and brought up in Kaduna State where she had her primary, secondary and tertiary education, studied English and Theatre Arts at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Digital Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.

Friends and family have all flooded her social media pages to pen down their tributes to her.
