Reps urge Tinubu to permanently solve insecurity in South East
The House of Representatives has urged the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to consult with political, traditional and religious leaders in the South-East geopolitical zone to find a lasting solution to the insecurity in the area.
The call by the lawmakers came a day after gunmen attacked Ishieke Daily Market located in the Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Tuesday.

The resolution of the House followed a motion by a member of the Green Chamber, Eze Nwachukwu, on the need to forestall further killings in Ebonyi State.
On Tuesday, gunmen enforcing a sit-at-home order by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) scared citizens particularly traders around Ishieke and Ukwuachi suburbs of Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.
