Senator Muhammad Mana, former military administrator and senator, passes away
Senator Muhammad Mana, a former military administrator of Plateau State is dead.
Mana, a retired colonel of the Nigerian Army and Senator who represented Adamawa North died in Abuja, in the evening of Friday, August 22.
He was said to have passed on barely two days after he was discharged from the hospital.
An indigene of Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State, the late Mana served as Plateau’s military administrator during the regime of late General Sani Abacha between December 1993 and August 1996.

He was later appointed the commander of the presidential guard brigade during General Abdussalami Abubakar’s regime.
In 2007, he was elected as a lawmaker representing Adamawa North senatorial district.
Confirming his death, a member of his family, Sarkin Fulani of Mubi, Abdurrahman B Kwaccham said a funeral prayer would be held at 2pm on Saturday, at the Abuja National Mosque for his late brother.
He also stated that the late Mana was survived by his children and wives.
