Among the promoted officers, 21 Corps Commanders were elevated to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), while 11 Deputy Corps Commanders were promoted to Corps Commanders. Additionally, 17 Assistant Corps Commanders were advanced to Deputy Corps Commanders.

Key officers promoted to the ACM rank include the Corps Secretary, ACM LD Shehu; Corps Legal Adviser, ACM KD Gonji; and Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Ogungbemide, along with officers from various critical departments such as intelligence, provost, budget, and transport standardisation.

Three Assistant Corps Marshals, ACM DI Okuobeya, ACM AS Ochi, and ACM Adekanye, were directed to proceed on immediate retirement.

The list of newly promoted Corps Commanders includes Corps Commander Wasiu Adenekan, the Corps Information Technology Officer and Technical Adviser to the Corps Marshal, alongside 16 others.

SGF Akume lauded the transparency and objectivity of the promotion process, stating that it reflects President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to rewarding excellence and hard work under his “Hope Agenda.” He called on the newly promoted officers to remain dedicated to the FRSC’s mission of reducing road traffic crashes and fostering a safer motoring environment.

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed also extended his congratulations to the newly elevated officers, reminding them that their new ranks come with greater responsibilities. He encouraged them to remain focused and passionate in their duties, while reassuring those not promoted this year to stay loyal and committed to the system.

Mohammed concluded by promising improvements in the welfare of FRSC personnel and urging all staff to continue their efforts in realising the Corps’ corporate mandate.
