Shocking! 14-year-old almajiri put inside red-hot oven in Gombe for stealing N200 bread

The Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the insertion of a 14-year-old boy into a bread oven for alleged theft of N200 bread in Bajoga, Funakaye LGA of the state.

ASP Yusuf Balami, Assistant Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident to Neptune Prime on Thursday.

He said that investigation into the matter has been concluded and the three suspects were charged to court for prosecution.

Meanwhile, Neptune Prime has reliably gathered that the boy, an almajiri, is currently on admission in a Gombe Hospital receiving treatment.

Balami called on the people in the state to be law-abiding and not to take the law into their hands.

He further assured that the police are always ready to protect the lives and property of citizens.

He urged them to assist the police with useful information that would help to maintain the peaceful coexistence in the state.
