Suspected ESN/IPOB operatives engage in vandalism at Ishieke market (Video)

In a distressing incident, a group of gunmen, suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN)/ the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), carried out an act of vandalism at Ishieke market in Ebonyi State.

The video footage captured the perpetrators burning a keke napep and shooting in the air to scare people away while issuing a call for a sit-at-home protest, linking the release of Nnamdi Kanu to the restoration of peace.

The individual behind the camera could be heard saying: “This is happening live on 4th July, 2023, it’s in Ebonyi, Abakiliki at Ishieke market. As you can see that keke is burning. Burn everything I don’t want anything to remain. Burn it, destroy them, destroy everything. Sit-at-home Nnamdi Kanu must be released. No Nnamdi Kanu, no peace, no Nnamdi Kanu, no peace happening in Ebonyi Abakiliki at Ishieke market. Destroy all of them, as you can see everywhere is burning, sit-at-home. You see Nnamdi Kanu must be released at all costs”.
