Bandits abduct councillors, imam in Zamfara — LG chairman confirms   The Chairman of Maradun LGA in Zamfara State, Hon. Sanusi Gama Giwa, has confirmed the abduction of two serving councillors and an imam during an attack in Tsauni community in Gusau, the state capital. In a statement he personally signed, he said the councillors, who represent Gidan Goga and Tsibiri wards in Maradun Local Government Area, were reportedly seized around 8:05 pm on Wednesday, near a police outpost, shortly after performing the Maghrib prayers.
