NAFDAC orders emergency recall of Dove Beauty cream bar soap The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a recall due to the detection of a chemical impurity, Butylphenyl Methylpropional (BMHCA), also known as Lilial, in the product. The agency noted that this chemical has been prohibited in cosmetics because of significant health risks, including potential damage to the reproductive system and negative effects on unborn children.
