Gunmen kill NPC ex-Commissioner, abduct daughters in Nasarawa A former Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC), Zakari Umaru-Kigbu, has been killed and two of his daughters abducted by gunmen who invaded his residence in Nasarawa State. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Umar-Kigbu’s residence in Azuba Bashayi, Lafia Local Government Area of the state. The kidnappers were also said to have demanded N50 million ransom for the release of the victims.
