NDLEA intercepts ₦4.4bn worth of codeine syrup The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully intercepted 636,600 bottles of codeine-based syrup, valued at ₦4.4 billion on the streets, at the Port Harcourt Port Complex, Onne, Rivers State. The seizure occurred following shipments from India on December 9, 11, and 13, 2024. The drugs were recovered during a joint examination conducted by NDLEA officers, operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and other security agencies.
