Former U-17 World Cup winner, Ibrahim Babangida, laid to rest following fatal accident Ibrahim Babangida, a retired footballer and member of the 1993 U-17 World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets squad, was tragically laid to rest following a fatal accident on the Kano-Zaria Road. The incident claimed his life, but family members who survived the accident are currently receiving medical care at Shika Hospital in Zaria.
