A 16-year-old grade 10 pupil of Lunga Day Secondary School in the Mwinilunga District of Northwestern Province, Zambia has committed suicide after being accused of stealing three new underwear belonging to her mother. Agness Katenga is said to have sneaked out of the house around 8 pm on Saturday, 30 January after she was beaten by her mother, Lucy Kayombo for the alleged theft and hanged herself on a mango tree.
