Kwara Governor suspends polytechnic rector, sets up panel to probe student protest Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has ordered the suspension of the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, following a student protest at the institution in Ilorin on Tuesday. The governor also constituted a three-member investigative panel to examine the causes of the protest and how it was handled. The panel, announced in a statement by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, is chaired by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Ibrahim Sulyman.
