Dwayne Johnson popularly known as 'The Rock' is teaming up with Oscar-nominated writer Jonathan Herman to reboot The Scorpion King. According to The Wrap, this mythical blockbuster will be produced by Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia via their company Seven Bucks Productions. The original 2002 film was a spin-off from The Mummy franchise after Johnson appeared as the villain in The Mummy Returns a year earlier. The Scorpion King earned $178 million at the global box office, while also kickstarting the ex-wrestler's movie career.
