Iran’s new supreme leader vows to block Strait of Hormuz in first statement

When six states in Nigeria’s South-West zone came together in January 2020 to create Amotekun, a regional security outfit to confront social ills spreading across the region, they weren’t reinventing the wheel, despite the political fanfare.

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has commenced an investigation into allegations of online impersonation and financial misconduct involving one of its students, Ismail Sani, after several individuals claimed they were defrauded.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday reportedly interrogated the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, John Tsoho, for several hours over a large sum of cash allegedly discovered in his wife’s possession.

Nigeria’s electoral legal framework has been strengthened following a move by the House of Representatives of Nigeria to criminalise holding membership in more than one political party at the same time.

Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s new supreme leader, has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as part of Tehran’s strategy to pressure its adversaries.
