Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State ahead of the 2027 general elections. Danladi secured victory at the party’s governorship primary election after defeating other aspirants in the contest conducted across the state. Announcing the results in Ilorin, the chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee and returning officer for the exercise declared Danladi winner after polling the highest number of votes cast during the primary.
