Taraba Explosion: CAN urges FGN to adopt workable strategies against terrorism 

In wake of the recent killings and kidnappings in various parts of the country, the leadership of the Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) to adopt every workable strategies against all forms of terrorism in order to secure the life and property of Nigerians.

The group was reacting to the recent bomb blast in Iware community of Taraba State that claimed the lives of six persons with several others sustaining injuries.

CAN disclosed this on Friday, via a press statement signed by the Chairman, Reverend Isaiah Magaji Jirapye and made available to newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital.

The association further expressed dismay on the way terrorists have continued to gain ground in the country, and said there is need for the government at the center to immediately adopt workable strategies against any form of terrorists’ organisations in the country and stop their migration.

The statement also console with the families of those killed in the bomb attack at Iware village of Ardo-Kola Council and urged residents of the state to collaborate with security agencies to eliminate all criminal elements.
