Teenager rescued after climbing billboard in bid to see governor
A dramatic scene played out in Kano when a teenager, estimated to be around 17 or 18 years old, climbed a towering billboard near Gadar Lado bridge, refusing to descend until Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf appeared.
The incident drew a large crowd and triggered an emergency response involving personnel from both the federal and state fire services, along with other security agencies.
The coordinated effort led to the successful rescue of the teenager after a prolonged standoff.
The youth, visibly shaken but unharmed, was immediately transported to a hospital for medical evaluation.
