‘Time to say goodbye’: Kevin De Bruyne to leave Man City at the end of the season
Kevin De Bruyne, the renowned Manchester City midfielder, has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
In an emotional letter shared with the public, De Bruyne revealed that these final months will mark his last with the club, ending a decade-long chapter in Manchester City’s history.
The 32-year-old Belgian, who has been a key player in the club’s remarkable success under Pep Guardiola, expressed his gratitude to the club, its fans, and the city itself. He wrote, “Football led me to all of you and to this city. Chasing my dream, not knowing this period would change my life. This city.
This club. These people… gave me EVERYTHING. I had no choice but to give EVERYTHING back! And guess what—we won EVERYTHING,” in a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram story.
De Bruyne also spoke about the impact Manchester has had on his family, adding, “Suri, Rome, Mason, Michèle, and I are beyond grateful for what this place has meant to our family. ‘Manchester’ will forever be on our kids’ passports—and more importantly, in each of our hearts. This will always be our HOME.”
