Tinubu launches 1st locally made CNG buses by Innoson Motors

President Bola Tinubu has officially commissioned the first set of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This initial batch, comprising 20 buses, marks a significant milestone as they were manufactured locally by Innoson Motors, a prominent Nigerian automotive company.

The CNG buses were showcased at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, where President Tinubu paused the ongoing Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting to inaugurate them.

These CNG buses are part of the Federal Government’s initiative to alleviate the challenges faced by Nigerians following the removal of the fuel subsidy.

The introduction of these vehicles is aimed at providing a more affordable and sustainable transport solution across the country.

Last week, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman and CEO of Innoson Motors, held a meeting with President Tinubu at the State House.

During the meeting, Chukwuma assured that CNG vehicles would soon be operational in many cities across Nigeria, helping to ease the transportation issues currently affecting the nation.
