Turkish club Fenerbahce welcomes Jose Mourinho as new manager

Story from Usman UMAR

Former Roma manager Jose Mourinho was warmly received during his introduction at Fenerbahce today.

After being sacked by Roma in January following a 2.5-year tenure, the Special One agreed to transfer to Turkey and sign a two-year contract with Fenerbahce.

His arrival in the Turkish Super Lig garnered attention in worldwide media outlets.

Mourinho was officially presented at Fenerbahce’s bustling stadium.

During his inaugural address as head coach of Fenerbahce, Mourinho vowed to proudly represent his new team with vigor and dedication. “First and foremost,” said Mourinho, “I want to express my gratitude for the warmth and support I have received from the moment my name was linked with Fenerbahce.

Typically, a coach is adored after achieving victories. However, in this case, I sense adoration even before achieving success.”
