Why I supplied cooking items to Boko Haram terrorists – CJTF member

The Borno State Police Command has arrested Muhammad Idrissa, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), for allegedly supplying cooking ingredients to Boko Haram insurgents in the state.

The arrest was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Nahum Daso, who revealed that intelligence reports led to Idrissa’s apprehension. Daso stated that the suspect would soon be charged to court for prosecution.

Speaking with reporters, Idrissa admitted his involvement, claiming he was helping his younger brother, a member of Boko Haram.

“I started recently, and I have only supplied them five times. I normally supply them with cooking items like Maggi, cooking oil, salt, and pepper,” Idrissa said.

Idrissa disclosed that he was a member of the CJTF before his arrest, “I was only helping my junior brother, knowing that they do not have access to these items where they are,” he explained.

He also recounted the circumstances of his arrest, saying, “I was at home when the police called me to come to the station, and upon getting there, I was arrested.”
