Workers return to holiday mood after Easter break

Nigerian workers, especially civil servants and those in the private sector, will be enjoying another long holiday just after the Easter break which ended a few days ago.

The long weekend include days declared by the Federal Government to mark Workers’ Day and Eid-el- Fitri celebrations respectively.

As usual, the public holiday will have citizens in a rush to put last minute plans in place. Nigerians who want to avoid delays in banking halls and long queues at various Automated Teller Machine (ATM) points are

therefore advised to make transactions early in order to avoid these disappointments.

It is a normal occurrence in Nigeria’s financial service sector to witness transaction failures due to high volume of traffic caused by customers who will be sending money to their loved ones for the holiday.

Furthermore, as with almost every festive period in Nigeria, a hike on some foodstuffs will be experienced. Therefore, it is advised that such purchases be made before the holiday.
