Yobe education soars under Gov. Buni – Education Commissioner

Story from Kasim Isa MUHAMMAD

Dr. Muhammad Sani Idriss, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in Yobe State, has lauded the impactful initiatives undertaken by Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration to bring quality education in the state.

He told Neptune Prime Monday that despite facing challenges, the administration has spearheaded commendable improvements in the educational sector.

He added that Yobe, having grappled with the aftermath of the Boko Haram insurgency, witnessed the destruction of numerous schools and hindrances to students attending classes.

Dr. Sani highlighted the administration’s commitment to overcoming these obstacles, pointing out the establishment and revitalisation of schools as an indication to Governor Buni’s visionary leadership.

He, however, stressed the introduction of mega schools across the three zones of the state, designed to provide a conducive and modern learning environment for students.

“Additionally, the administration is focus on empowering female students as it is evident in the creation of five additional secondary schools exclusively for girls.

“This strategic move not only addresses gender disparities but also aligns with the broader goal of steering the state towards a prosperous educational future,” Dr. Sani Concluded.
