Yobe state house of Assembly has received a bill seeking for the amendment of the law that established state College of Agriculture, Gujba.
The bill which was presented by the executive arm of Government has scaled through the second reading on the floor of the House after extensive deliberations by the members
Leading the debate on the bill, the leader of the House who is also member representing Geidam central constituency Alhaji Bukar Mustapha, said the bill when amended would change the Name of College of Agriculture Gujba to College of Agriculture Science and Technology Gujba
The bill has been committed to the House committee on higher Education for further legislative actions
The House has also approved 2021 to 2023 medium-term expenditure framework and fiscal strategy paper in respect of 2021 budget proposal
In a related development, the House has confirmed the appointment of Justice Gumna Kashim Kaigama as substantive Chief Judge of Yobe state
The Nominee was recommended by the Judicial Council of Nigeria and confirmed in accordance with section two, seven, one of the constitutions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
