18 federal directors fail PS qualifying exam
A total of 18 out of 29 federal directors who participated in the Permanent Secretary qualifying examination have failed, scoring below the required 50% threshold.
This information was revealed in a memo signed by Gabriel Aduda, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, on behalf of the examination committee.
The memo stated that the 11 directors who passed will move on to the next stage of the selection process, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
The Federal Government, through the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, had previously announced the commencement of the selection process to fill vacant permanent secretary positions.
In a separate memo signed by Didi Walson-Jack, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, it was stated that officials currently facing disciplinary procedures are not eligible to apply. The memo also confirmed that President Bola Tinubu had approved the appointment process.
Furthermore, the memo emphasized that only candidates from specific states are eligible to apply in order to uphold the Federal Character principle.
