A couple were suspected to have sold three different babies including their own child for N600, 000. Mr Ugochukwu Nwanchukwu 28 years old and wife Mrs Glory Ugochukwu 30 years old woman.
They made this confession on Wednesday at the Imo state police headquarters,when they were paraded by the state commisioner of police, Mr Dazuki Galadanchi.
Glory the wife said am not happy when my husband sold my first child who was just 4 month old and he never gave me anything out of it (the money) .While the husband Ugochukwu said i have disscused the issue with my wife and i even told her i sold the child for N400, 000.
However he stated his reason for selling his child he said ” i wanted to join the Army but i dont have the money to process it . The bill they gave me was high and even went to the extend of selling my property but still the money was not enough so i went to buy motorcycle and started a fish business”.
I was not in these business before but because of financial situation a man linked me to sell my son and then get me arrested for selling a boy and a girl for 400, 000 which they gave me just 200, 000 it is the selling of my child get me exposed.
