Yobe state government said it’s ready to meet the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) before the 2030 dateline.
Dr. Lawan Gana State Commissioner of Health, made the disclosure at the UHC commemoration day with a theme “keep the promise” pointing out that Yobe state government was apart from keeping to promise will ensure improved healthcare services.
Gana said that the first priority of governor Buni’s administration was to ensure good health care services of all in the state.
He said, “looking at the fact that, this government is a government of
continuity, consolidation and innovations, no stone would be left unturned in the provision of appropriate healthcare needs of the citizens.
“To achieve these objectives, the state government has pledged to construct at least one health care facility in each of the 176 political wards across the state,” he said.
He, therefore, described the leadership style of government of Mai Mala
Buni as the text-book definition of leadership when it comes to what
his administration is doing to the citizens.
