Boko Haram insurgents have again attacked Damaturu,  making it three times in about two months.

Neptune Prime gathered that the marauders started their attack at about 5.30pm through the Gashua road access, apparently their new found weak point in the military fortress surrounding Damaturu.

A witnesses confided in our reporter that the insurgents were sighted since around 11am and report promptly made but no action was taken till when they struck.

Meanwhile, Damaturu, the headquarter of Yobe State has been locked down as no one is allowed out or in of the town.

Neptune Prime gathers the army and jets of the Nigerian Air Force have forced the insurgents to beat a retreat.

However, residents of Yobe and Borno states, more especially commuters who travel between the two states are apprehensive because there are rumours going round that the Boko Haram insurgents intend to attack the road linking the two states.
