Yobe State commissioner of commerce inspects state-owned industries, commends contractor

The Yobe state Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Tourism, Honourable Barma Shettima in company of his Permanent Secretary, Directors and other members of his team went on inspection to ascertain the progress of the ongoing projects of the new Damaturu modern market, the Yobe sack factory, and how functional the aluminum and flour mill company in Potiskum is. In the event at Damaturu Modern Market, Honourable Barma Shettima appreciated the contractors handling the projects and the level at which each project are, he was optimistic that the project will be completed in less than a year. At the inspection of the Sack Factory, Honourable Barma Shettima felt contented and showed great satisfaction on how the factory has been well equipped and 100% operational.

He later went on to inspect the Aluminum Company in Potiskum which also was fully operational.

The Sahel Flour Mill was 90% equipped and soon to be fully operational.

The Honourable Commissioner finally urged the contractor to keep up the good work. He also emphasised Governor Mai Mala Buni’s commitment to promoting commercial activities in the State through building markets and resuscitating the State Industries.
