Buni intervenes, grants six-month extension to NAPPMED members facing shutdown in Yobe Story by Sa'adatu MAINA, Damaturu Members of the Nigerian Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED) in Yobe State have received a six-month extension to relocate their businesses, following a direct intervention by Governor Mai Mala Buni. The reprieve halts the imminent closure of several medicine shops in Potiskum and Nguru Local Government Areas, which had been penalised for violating Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations, requiring a minimum distance of 200 meters from hospitals.
