Gov Buni, meet World bank’s Ayan Parvez over education and infrastructure development

His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, the executive Governor of Yobe state, yesterday meet with the Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist of the World Bank’s Multi-Sectoral Crises Recovery Project, Mr Ayan Parvez in Abuja as his administration continues with an effort to partner the World Bank Group on key recovery, reconstruction and development issues.

Attended by the National Coordinator of the Multi-Sectoral Crises Recovery Project Mohamed Danjuma, the meeting delved on areas the project would want to help Yobe State with, including education and infrastructure.

The Multi-Sectoral Crises Recovery seeks to “support the Government of Nigeria towards rehabilitating and improving critical service delivery infrastructure”, and provide improvement in the “livelihood opportunities of conflict and displacement-affected communities”, while also working to “strengthen social cohesion in the North East participating states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa”.
