Police arrest housewife, partner over fake kidnapping

Police arrest housewife, partner over fake kidnapping The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a housewife and her alleged accomplice over a fake kidnapping scheme designed to extort money from her family. According to the police, the suspects, Mrs. Funke Adeyemi (the housewife) and Mr. Sadiq Lawal (the accomplice), were apprehended following investigations that uncovered inconsistencies in the reported abduction. Detectives said the woman was never kidnapped but conspired with Lawal to stage the incident and demand ransom.
