Yobe State, with no confirmed case of Coronavirus, has set up an Isolation Center with an 18 bed capacity and three ventilators.
The center is located at the State Specialist Hospital, Damaturu.
The state commissioner for health, Dr Muhammad Lawan Gana, exclusively disclosed to Neptune Prime in a telephone interview that more centers are in the process of coming up.
He revealed that the state Governor, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, has given the okay for an additional center at the State Teaching Hospital and that a facility has also been identified at the Federal Medical Center, Nguru, for another Isolation Center.
Dr Lawan Gana further said “eventually we would have a bigger, centralised, permanent center at Damaturu so that we can pool all resources and experts in one place”.
