The lawmaker representing Bauchi South in the upper chamber of the national assembly, Senator Lawal Yahya Gumau has donated over 100 different sets of cars to his All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists drawn from the seven local governments of the senatorial district.
The beneficiaries were selected from Alkaleri, Kirfi, Dass, Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, Bauchi and Toro local governments.
Gumau who was represented by the former house of representatives member Honourable Yusuf C Nuhu said the vehicles were distributed to recognize the party members who contributed immensely during the last 2019 elections.
He recalled that in the last 41 days Senator Gumau distributed 27 buses to the religious groups which including Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI), Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Tariqatul Tijjaniyya andTariqatul Qadiriyya etc.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade Sabo Mohammed lauded the senator for carrying party members along saying that will encourage them to rededicate themselves to the progress of the party.
