Again, gunmen attack Niger School, abduct unknown number of students, kill 1

Gunmen suspected to be armed bandits in the early hours of today Wednesday invaded Government Science Secondary School in Kagara, headquarters of Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting an unknown number of staff members and students.

A student was also killed by the gunmen during the operation identified as Benjamin Doma.

According to sources, the armed men were said to have invaded the school around 3 am.

“At about 3 am this morning, bandits attacked Government Science College in Kagara, killing one and abducting an unknown number of students.

“Some staff members, their spouses, children were also abducted by the bandits”.

The bandits were said to have gathered some staff and students at a place for hours before moving them out of the school premises to an unknown destination.

It was also gathered that a staff of the college was able to escape from the kidnappers.
