On Thursday, May 6, 2021, residents in Ilorin, Kwara State, were rendered helpless as a heavy flood pushed their cars into a ditch.
The heavy downpour caused a flood that made major roads unmotorable.
Taxis and trucks parked along the Ajase Ipo (Offa Garage) road in Ilorin were swept into a ditch by the flood as residents looked on.
Some car owners were seen trying hard to wrestle the flood by pushing their cars. Others couldn’t do much, except stand by and look helplessly.
