Yobe state Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni, on Wednesday inaugurated 152-shop Majalam plaza in Potiskum constructed by a private citizen, Dr Umar Majalam Ibrahim.
Buni expressed the readiness of his administration to partner with private investors to create a conducive environment for economic growth and empowerment of the people.

He urged other businessmen to emulate Dr Umar Majalam and invest in the state.
The Governor assured that government would continue to provide the necessary incentives and infrastructure to fast track development.
“I am particularly happy that the proprietor sourced his materials locally including the roofing sheets from the resuscitated Sahel Aluminum company in Potiskum.”
Dr Umar Mujalam Ibrahim, proprietor of the plaza said he was motivated to construct the plaza to support the developmental strides of the Buni administration.
“You personally motivated me and l think this is the best way to cue into the strides of your administration, you always make us proud,” Dr Umar said.
