Kano APC heavyweight, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura, popularly known as A. A. Zaura, has praised Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje-led administration’s policies on Islamiyya and Qur’an education in Kano State.
Alhaji Zaura stated this during a courtesy call to the Kano State Qur’an and Islamiyya Board as issued by his Media aide, Al-Amin Ciroma. Alhaji Zaura said the success Governor Ganduje recorded on security was all because of his achievements in restructuring the educational sector of Islam. He maintained that education is a source of human liberation.
Zaura, a former gubernatorial aspirant under his former party, GPN, said any society that promotes education can prosper in all its endeavours.

“No doubt His Excellency, Governor Ganduje has done well on Islamiyya and Tsangaya Schools across his state. No doubt the success of Kano State government over insecurity matters is because of its restructured policies.”
The APC chieftain also promised to support the board to organize a Qur’anic competition that will be the first of its kind in history. According to Mr Zaura, the coveted prizes to be won include house, cars and cash. He charged the board to hasten the competition. He also promised to renovate all Islamic schools within the state.
Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura donated the sum of N20 million to the Islamiyya board to help facilitate some of their pressing matters and renovation of all schools dilapidated structures across the state.
Earlier, the chairman of the board Gwani Yahuza Gwani Danzarga said no doubt Alhaji Zaura is a blessing to Kano State for his kind heart in helping the less privileged.
He pointed out that apart from the state government, no individual has ever given his time and resources to support the board except Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura. He thanked the politician and businessman for his magnanimity and the donation of the N20 million.
He assured Alhaji Zaura that the board will ensure the utilisation of the donated funds.
