The Chairman, Mangal Group, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, has donated N1billion to Yobe State in support of its programs towards revitalising the education sector in the state.
Mangal made the donation on Thursday during the Yobe State Government Education Appeal Fundraising event held at Sheraton Hotel in Abuja.
The event was channelled towards developing and maintaining a high standard of education philosophy; education policy; legal, regulatory, and institutional arrangement in the Basic and Secondary Education sub-sector.

The event was attended by well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists.
Similarly, the Chairman, Dangote Group of Companies, Aliko Dangote, donated N350million; Nigerian Governor’s Forum donated N350 million, while Tahir Group of Companies also donated N100 million amongst others.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe (GCON), stated that he achieved landmark feats in his time due to free access to education.
He further asserted that education is the foundation and the key to a successful and fulfilling life.
Neptune Prime reports that over N10 billion was publicly announced by dignitaries who attended the event.
