Yobe gov’t set to hold fundraiser to revive education sector
Yobe government says it will hold a fundraiser on the 10th of February to improve the standard of education in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Idi Gubana, Deputy Governor of the state. He said the exercise is an effort by the state government to improve the quality of education in the state.
The event is scheduled to take place on February 10th, at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel in Abuja.

Recall that on the 9th of November, 2021, Yobe state government inaugurated a 21-member committee to raise funds for the education sector.
Gubana said Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe, expressed his commitment to improving the quality of education and reviving the educational infrastructure in the state.
According to the statement, the event will be attended by the president of the senate Ahmed Lawan. Dahiru Mangal, founder of Max Airline, will be the chief launcher while Babagana Kingibe, special envoy to the president, will be the chairman of the event.
Other dignitaries to attend the event include, Bukar Ibrahim, former senator representing Yobe east; Ibrahim Gaidam, senator representing Yobe east; Ibrahim Bomai, senator of Yobe south; Adamu Adamu, minister for education; Muhammad Bello, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT); Yobe state council of traditional rulers and Muhammad Abali, Emir of Fika, among others.
