Free Medical Outreach: Senator targets 78,000 beneficiaries in Adamawa

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe representing Adamawa South in the Nigerian 9th Senate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) says he is targeting over 78,000 beneficiaries for his free medical outreach.

Yaroe stated this at the inauguration of the ninth medical outreach in Lamurde local government area of the state on Monday.

Newsmen gathered that the medical outreach covered the nine local government areas in the zone. The other local government areas include Demsa, Ganye, Guyuk, Numan, Shelleng, Toungo, Jada and Mayo-belwa.

Yareo said that in the previous outreaches, no fewer than 60,000 people benefited and currently targeting 5,000 to 6,000 beneficiaries in Lamurde.

He said: “We have another major outreach for the grand finale that we are targeting 10,000 people in the central area to reach our target.”

According to him, the mobile hospital inaugurated in Borrong community in Demsa local government area on April 24, was to complement free medical outreaches.

He said that the mobile hospital would help to reach people in their respective communities, not necessarily attending to them in the local government headquarters.

Dr Dah Telemoh, the Consultant of the project, said that they intend to take care of various types of ailments during the three-day outreach.

“This is the ninth local government, we intend to treat people with bilharzia, hernia, fibroid, appendix and different kinds of ailments.

“We intend to treat all of them because we come with experts in the fields,” he said.

Dr Daniel Shagah, the Paramount ruler of the area, commended Yaroe for the gesture and called on patients to take advantage of the free medical outreach, irrespective of any difference.
