Gombe police commissioner donates Sallah clothes to fallen heroes’ families

Ahead of the Sallah celebration, the commissioner of police in charge of Gombe State Command, Ishola Babatunde Babaita, on Sunday donated clothes to 20 families of the fallen heroes.
The Commissioner of Police explained that beneficiaries are families of officers who died while serving their fatherland.
While handing over the clothes to the families at the command headquarters in Gombe, Ishola said the gesture was aimed at bringing succour to them and showing love to their offspring as they celebrate the festival.

“We make the donation to the families of the fallen heroes in order to show them love and assist them to enjoy the upcoming Sallah festival comfortably and happily.
“The deceased officers have contributed patriotically to nation-building. They dedicated themselves to serving their fatherland when they were alive. So we need to support their families”, he said.
The police commissioner also tasked serving officers on honesty, patriotism, selflessness and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
