APC primaries: Uba Sani defeats Buhari’s inlaw to emerge Kaduna governorship candidate

Senator Uba Sani, representing Kaduna central senatorial district, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in the state.

Sani squared against Honourable Sani Mohammed Sha’aban, an inlaw to President Muhammadu Buhari and a former member of the House of Representatives from May 2003 to May 2007 representing Zaria.

He polled 1,149 votes, to defeat Sha’aban who had 10 votes while another contestant, Honourable Bashir Abubakar, had 37 votes, 39 votes cast were considered invalid.
