…places 167 student nurses on N10,000 monthly allowance

Yobe State Governor, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, on Sunday approved the employment of 134 graduates of Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery to boost healthcare personnel in all health institutions across the state.
Governor Buni gave the approval for the employment of 12 nurses, 67 indigenous graduates of Midwifery and 55 community nurses who graduated from the Shehu Sule College.

Similarly, the governor also approved the placement of 167 student nurses of the college on a monthly allowance of N10,000.
According to the governor, the investment in the health personnel was to provide adequately qualified manpower to man existing and newly established health institutions in the state.
He noted that the government would provide qualified personnel in all the health facilities to provide quality services to the people.
The governor charged the new employees to be dedicated to duty and to serve the people diligently to justify the government’s investment in them.
